Welcome to searching the new PubMed interface! PubMed is built and maintained by the National Library of Medicine (NLM). The new PubMed interface features a responsive design allowing it to be used more easily on phones or tablets. Some updates that may effect your search:
- An updated Best Match algorithm is now the default for search results and brings the most relevant articles to the top of your results. This feature can still be switched to Most Recent or Publication Date by using the Display Options box at the top right of the citations.
- The same Save, Email, or Sent to (bibliographic software) features are available, now at the top of the citations.
- Standard filters are still found on the left hand side of the page, with an option to open additional filters for use.
- Search History can still be found under the Advanced tab and Search Alerts and RSS feed creation are still available.
- The same full text links can be found with article abstracts, including the
button.
While the new PubMed features a cleaner and what we hope is a more intuitive search interface, we understand that new users and long-time PubMed users may have some trouble finding features. The Education & Research Department is here to help in any way we can with classes, consultations or just a quick chat. Please contact us with any problems or needs.
