Problems, questions, or comments? Let us know what you find useful or needs improvement:
Workstations require log-in with a UAMS domain account. If you are having problems with your login account, please contact the Help Desk at 501-686-8555.
Non-UAMS Library guests may access computers on 1st floor located by the entrance to the Education and Reference department. To use one of these public machines the user needs to sign in and have a library staff member login with the guest account.
Wireless Internet access is available throughout the library. If you are a guest in the library you will connect to the UAMS Guest account from your device. When you open a browser window you should be prompted to enter your email address for verification on the UAMS Aruba network. Once the email is registered you will be able to access other sites on the web.
Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to use the UAMS wireless account. When you connect you will be prompted to enter your domain credentials.
If you experience any problems connecting to the wireless network, please notify the staff at the Circulation desk. Library Technical Support will attempt to troubleshoot the problem first, but may refer this issue to Campus IT Support.
The Library printer/photocopies also function as scanners. There is no charge for this service.
How to scan in the Library:
If you need assistance with any of our scanning equipment, please check with the staff at the
Circulation Desk.
As technology has become mobile, so has the need for supporting these mobile devices. Many students regularly use laptops and iPads in the library for individual study or with a group. The library is equipped with large screen televisions in the Active Learning Center and in the group study rooms. To make it possible for our students to utilize these large screens the library provides HDMI cables that can be checked out. Connecting the HDMI cable to a laptop and the screen allows students to share information with a group. We also have adapters for iPads and older apple devices.
Need a quick charge for your phone, but forgot your cable? We have both Android and Apple charging stations available on first floor near the Watson room in the Active Learning Center, on second floor near the Administrative Office, and on third floor south in the Quiet/Study area.
