Clinical Librarians provide services exclusively to the clinical departments in the hospital. Clinical Librarians generally round with one or more departments in the hospital to provide real-time education to residents and students on the use of medical literature resources and applying evidence-based principles.
Morning Report - to provide review articles or a summary of the topic or questions that arise
Noon Conference - to present on literature searching, evidence-based practice, and/or research basics.
Patient Rounding - accompany the team on rounds to help answer point of care questions, assist residents and students in finding and using evidence-based information, and provide in-depth research on complex questions.
