WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DO NOT COMPLY?
The Library is historically a favorite place for students to study individually as well as to meet and study in groups. However, the COVID-19 pandemic requires us to reconsider the use of the space for the safety of everyone. It is critical in this space used by so many, that everyone adhere to these directives for your own well-being and for the good of those around us.
* Failure to comply with the expectations above will result in a report to your college, program, or department.
For questions relating to the Library, please call 501-686-6732. For questions regarding the Student Success Center, please call 501-686-6208.
Students and Residents have access to the 1st floor After Hours of the Library. The area is monitored by security cameras and panic alarms are placed throughout the study rooms to be used to notify the UAMS Police in an emergency. Non-UAMS affiliated visitors are not permitted on campus at this time.
After the Library is closed, students and residents must first enter campus through a screening station, then enter the North Lobby of the ED II Building and the Rahn (COPH) Building and use their valid UAMS ID badge in the card swipe to access the Active Learning Center and surrounding study rooms.
Students and residents wishing to remain in the after-hours area at the time the Library closes for the day must present and scan a valid UAMS ID at the Circulation Desk.
Individuals who are not current and active UAMS students or residents are not permitted to be in the after-hours area when the Library is closed. This includes family members, spouses, children, and/or friends. There are no exceptions.
If a badge does not open the door, please contact the Badge Access office with your network credentials, or call the UAMS Police (686-7777) for immediate entry with proper identification.
