RefWorks is a web-based program to create and store a personal database of citations and help you format bibliographies. It can also work as a formatting tool within an MS Word document. Data may be imported directly from online services such as EBSCO or Ovid or entered manually.

• Open your browser and go to RefWorks or get to RefWorks via the A to Z Digital Resources page. 
• Click Create Account under the login boxes.
• Enter your UAMS email address and click Check. You must use your UAMS email address at this step. 
• Enter your details and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your registration. You will be sent an activation email from RefWorks.
• Once you activate your account via the link RefWorks sends you, you are logged in to your new account and can begin adding your references.
